A 34-year-old woman presented with primary infertility and was diagnosed with a septate uterus, a known cause of infertility and recurrent pregnancy loss.
The case was high-risk due to multiple co-morbidities:
Epilepsy
Obesity
Hypothyroidism
These conditions significantly increased the anesthetic and surgical risk.
Diagnosis
Septate uterus causing infertility
High-risk surgical profile due to neurological, endocrine, and metabolic conditions
Procedure: Laparoscopy & Hysteroscopic Septum Resection
⚕️ Surgical Plan & Execution:
Diagnostic laparoscopy to assess pelvic anatomy
Hysteroscopic septum resection using a bipolar resectoscope under saline medium
Continuous monitoring due to known seizure disorder
